  • “I was recently in Czech Republic directing a factual show for History & Discovery Int. and had the good fortune of working with Markus as our local fixer and camera assist. Not only was he highly skilled and proficient on set, his command of the english language made navigating sometimes very challenging environments easy for us. His positive attitude and sharp cultural sensibilities only made our experience and product that much better. “
    - Andrew Kenneth Martin
Director at Yap Films working for Discovery Channel International

  • Markus always does what is expected of him. Even though he is still very young, he has a lot of experience from various fields of film and television production. Markus is creative, happy and quick to learn new ways of television. Always trying to do his job as best as he can in terms we have agreed on. His language skills were very beneficial when we were starting MTV in the Czech Republic together. Happy to recommend Markus.

-Patrik Kettner, Head of On-Air Promotion at CET 21

  • We recently filmed a segment of our film in Prague, Czech Republic and required a local crew. We found Markus, and he recommended the rest of the crew to us using his industry connections. Our experience there was excellent and stress free. He and his team went above and beyond our expectations in both the filming process and the end results. We would not hesitate to recommend him if you need any filming done in that part of the world. He speaks fluent English, Czech, and German.

-C.S. John, Producer at Misconceived Films Limited

  • Markus is a very creative and artistic cinematographer with excellent organizational and managerial skills. He completes the projects on time and delivers more than 100%. He is easy to work with and very friendly, he follows directions precisely, but he also has a gift to add value to the project by using his creativity. I would like to work with Markus again in the future.” April 19, 2011

-Katarina Von Eper, president at Golden Book Films

  • Markus was my Assistant Director as well as a fine D.P.. He basically was my eyes, ears and mind prepping and shooting a film project in Prague, while I was in Los Angeles. The shoot involved huge logistics issues but everything came together like clockwork. When our crew arrived all of the production went smoothly. In fact, it was enjoyable mainly because Markus and his producer, Martin, had thought of everything and handled it in advance. Markus continued throughout the shoot to fix things that were going off the rails with never an upset or problem. We finished on time, on budget with great shots. You can’t ask for better.” July 17, 2012

Czech – fluently (written and spoken)
English – fluently (written and spoken)
German – fluently (written and spoken)

My language skills are my biggest advantage. Growing up in a German speaking household in the United States gave me the privilege to speak German, Czech and English on the same level. During the years, I was part of productions in the USA, Germany and Czech Republic, which helped me learn the much needed film terminology in all three languages.
